Hard Core Samurai Sudoku 200
Five grids, one puzzle. 200 Hard and Very Hard.
Samurai Sudoku joins five 9x9 grids at the corners: one in the middle, and one overlapping each of its corners. The shared boxes link the grids together, so a single placement can ripple across the whole puzzle. Hard Core Samurai Sudoku 200 gives you 200 of them, all rated Hard or Very Hard.
Each grid follows the usual rules, with the numbers 1 to 9 once in every row, column and 3x3 box. The overlapping corner boxes belong to two grids at once, and that's where the fun starts: progress in one grid often unlocks another, so you find yourself moving around the puzzle rather than finishing one grid at a time.
With five grids to fill, each puzzle is a long, absorbing solve, so this book suits experienced solvers who enjoy settling in with one big puzzle. It's printed at 8.5 x 11 inches.
If you'd like to try overlapping grids at an easier level first, see 240 Multi Sudoku in 12 Variants, which includes Samurai alongside eleven other merged layouts and comes in single levels from Easy to Extreme.
